What can an LCA do for your organisation?
Analyze
Assess your full environmental impact, identify targeted improvements, and look beyond direct emissions.
Identify
Identify the main drivers of environmental impact so you can act where it matters most.
Optimize
Optimise where it really counts – implementing solutions with the highest environmental return.
Compare
Compare materials, processes, and/or designs to see which option is most sustainable in the long run.
Anticipate
Prepare for future challenges such as new regulations, energy transitions, and shifting public expectations.
What is a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)?
An LCA is a scientific method to measure the environmental impact of products, services and/or processes. It maps the footprint across the entire life cycle – or you can zoom in on specific stages, from raw material extraction and production to transport, daily use and recycling. An LCA delivers robust data to guide strategic and sustainable decision-making.
LCA provides insight into questions such as:
- What is the impact of my energy and water consumption?
- What emissions are released during the production of my product?
- How much does transport contribute to the total impact?
- What is the impact on human health, ecosystems, and the protection of natural resources?
LCA goes beyond just CO₂ emissions. It also takes into account the impact of other greenhouse gases, ozone depletion, acidification, eutrophication, ionizing radiation, smog formation, particulate matter formation, toxicity, land use, and depletion of fossil fuels and critical raw materials.
What's your biggest challenge?
Every LCA is based entirely on your questions and objectives. This provides you with concrete, tailor-made insights that you can use immediately to reduce your impact, make informed choices and achieve sustainable improvements. The results are clear, applicable and tailored to your context, so that they not only provide insight, but also offer direction for action, decision-making and further optimisation.
How can we help you?
Do you want to understand full environmental impact?
A standard analysis maps out your environmental impact across the entire life cycle – from raw materials, production and transport to use, end-of-life and recycling. The result is a comprehensive report that provides a strong evidence base for sustainable policies, strategic decisions, communication and reporting.
What drives your greatest environmental impact
A hotspot analysis shows which parts of your value chain contribute most to your environmental footprint. By identifying these key ‘hotspots’, you can act where it matters most and steer clear of less effective measures.
What’s the most efficient way to reduce your environmental footprint?
Through an optimisation analysis we identify the most efficient strategies to lower your impact. By comparing alternatives you’ll discover where the greatest potential for improvement exists.
What is the most sustainable choice or solution in the long run?
A comparative analysis allows you to objectively weigh different materials, processes and/or scenarios. This gives you clear insight into the most sustainable choice over time. We explore various scenarios so you can make strategic, evidence-based decisions.
How future-proof are your sustainability efforts?
A futureproofing analysis helps you understand how your environmental impact may shift under changing conditions, such as fluctuating material and energy prices, technological advancements and changing societal expectations. It provides clear direction for future-ready, sustainable decisions.
