The project 'Circular aanbesteden' is a unique and innovative research initiative executed by Bureau Bouwtechniek and the University of Antwerp, with the support of Flanders Circular. The project aims to promote the transition to reversible and demountable construction through knowledge sharing, co-creation, and awareness.

As a partner in the research project "Circular Procurement for School Building Projects? Yes, we can!", the University of Antwerp has played a pivotal role in the project. The project team collaborated with various stakeholders, including users, building owners, architects, associations, and demolition companies, to repurpose materials and give them a second life.

The project has yielded new insights and alternative procurement methods, resulting in a successful case study on the Campus Paardenmarkt in Antwerp. The project team has delivered multiple presentations on the research project, including guest lectures at Ghent University and the University of Antwerp, and presentations at BuildUp and C-bouwers.
